An Tran's International Guitar Workshop offers an immersive program tailored to provide classical guitarists with a transformative musical journey. Under the guidance of classical guitarist An Tran, this workshop is crafted to inspire, educate, and foster connections among musicians worldwide. With a dedicated focus on refining technique, enhancing performance, and fostering ensemble skills, participants can anticipate a profoundly enriching experience. We cordially invite guitarists from around the globe to join us for the 2025 workshop in the beautiful capital city of Hanoi, Vietnam. Description

The workshop will feature a variety of activities, including:

  • Concerts by Professor An Tran and Guests Artists.

  • Students’ Concert: Students will have many opportunities to perform throughout the workshop.

  • Technique Class: Each morning will begin with technique sessions and warm-ups to prepare for daily activities.

  • Ensemble Rehearsal: Each morning, students will rehearse ensembles to develop a sense of community and music reading skills, preparing for the closing Gala concert.

  • Masterclass: Each student will participate in Masterclass sessions with An Tran and guest artists.

  • Lecture: An Tran and Guests Artists will give lectures related to the classical guitar field.

Through collaboration and sharing of learning experiences, students will build long-lasting friendships and support networks, fostering teamwork and mutual inspiration, enhancing the performance level of each student.

Eligibility and Application Process

ELIGIBILITY: All classical guitar players, regardless of age, are welcome. Students will need to prepare a performance program of at least 10 minutes to perform during the workshop.

SKILL LEVEL: All skill levels. Preference will be given to those with intermediate level or higher.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: 2 performance videos of contrasting pieces, submitted via YouTube links. We will begin accepting applications and 2 videos starting from April 1st, 2025.

DEADLINE: May 15th, 2025 (Late applications may be considered)

RESULTS: The admissions committee will evaluate based on the 2 videos submitted by each applicant. We will notify the results by email before May 30, 2025. The workshop will accept a maximum of 20 students.

Fees

Participation Fee: 5,000,000 VND (to be paid upon acceptance). The participation fee does not include accommodation and transportation expenses.
